About Tom Van Dawark
Tom was born and raised in a small community near Eugene, Oregon. He worked on the family farm from an early age and attended high school with 14 classmates. Tom received his Business Administration degree at the University of Oregon, served in the Army and returned to Oregon for his MBA.
Tom has been fortunate to have the opportunity to serve as a CEO with high reliability organizations such as Foss Maritime and Todd Shipyard, as well as a governance leader with the Virginia Mason Health System and a member of the Seattle Children's Hospital Board Quality Committee, among others. He partners with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and has successfully assisted a number of organizations in performance improvement work.

Tom and his wife Janet live on Whidbey Island north of Seattle with their thirteen-year-old grandson Damien.
